Anime director Makoto Shinkai (The Garden of Words, Children Who Chase Lost Voices) created the “Cross Road” television commercial for the major correspondence education company Z-Kai.
The story of “Cross Road” centers on high school students Miho (Ayane Sakura) and Shōta (Kensho Ono) as they prepare for tests. Miho comes from an island without even one cram school, while Shōta lives in Tokyo and works a part-time job. Both are striving to pass tests so they can enter college. The pair enroll in Z-Kai’s correspondence education courses, and their lives cross before they realize.
YOU CAN LITERALLY SEE EVERY STITCH ON HER DRESS!!! I MEAN THE DETAIL IS AMAZING. if you say the animation in this movie is bad you are LYING.
Hey friends! Just want to inform you that the stitching on her dress and all the detail you see on her character model was painstakingly put there by Visual Effects Artists! Not animators. Animators pose and “animate” the characters, while Visual Effects Artists work on everything else! It can be very confusing, I know, but Visual Effects Artists are feeling very under appreciated right now in the film industry, so I encourage you all to understand and research the difference between Animation and Visual Effects!! Huzzah!
I think I queued this earlier without the added commentary about visual effects artists, so I wanted to make sure it hit my blog with that info.
A Death Metal Magical girl to go along with my viking ladies [x] [x]
Despite the fact that my original viking magical girl was me sharing some personal feelings about how I feel about my favourite genre of music, I got of bizarre hate or at least a bunch of people getting super snotty at me about that Valkyrie Yuuki comic existing already. Because hoW DARE I do my own version dealing with my own personal feelings about how I feel.
So since viking/pagan/folk metal is where I got when in a good mood, death metal is where I go when I’m pissed. So I like this idea of these magical girl being the cavalry that gets called in when she gets tough. She’s fly in when she hears someone talking shit, spit blood in their face and then deliver the heads of her enemies to the feet of all our lovely viking girls.
